The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with the identity of a suspect responsible for two related convenience store robberies.
On December 18, 2015, at approximately 12:50 am, a lone male suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 200 block of Laurier Avenue. The suspect produced a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes. The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cigarettes. There were no injuries.
On December 30, 2015, at approximately 9:10pm, the same suspect attended the same location, again armed with a knife. He again made a demand for cash and cigarettes. He fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash and cigarettes. The suspect was last seen running southbound on Henderson Avenue. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 19-22 years old, slim build, and English speaking. In both instances, the suspect attempted to disguise his identity (see pictures.)
